Comprehensive Leave Manager

Do you get frustrated when dealing with leave management?

Create and manage leave benefits in Microsoft Dynamics® GP Payroll

"We’ve realized the most significant time savings with Comprehensive Leave Manager. Our Accounting Department has saved nearly an entire day each pay period because of automatic PTO calculations. Before, we had to download the information into a spreadsheet, run a payroll inquiry, add accrual to their prior PTO balance, and then subtract the hours they took during that pay period. Comprehensive Leave Manager also allows our employees to view their available time off without having to calculate anything – and has eliminated calls to HR and Accounting for this information”
- Leigh Ann Perry, Associate Director of IT, Thomas Jefferson Foundation, Inc

Many organizations, regardless of employee count, need unlimited flexibility to track and manage leave benefits. Comprehensive Leave Manager allows you to define your own codes and set policies for leave accruals, lump-sum allocations, and comp time. Save time with mass updating, balance sharing and transfer, and automatic, intermittent FMLA instance creation in HR, as well as full HRM Self Service Suite integration.

Features and Benefits

Unlimited user-defined leave codes - Define an unlimited number of leave codes using your organization's terminology, including vacation time, sick days, personal business time, administrative leave, comp and holiday comp time. (See Figure 1)

Multiple accrual methods – Set policies for leave accruals, lump-sum allocations, and comp time.

Flexible waiting period options - Automatically track waiting periods based on one-time or recurring dates such as an anniversary date or a recurring calendar date without using spreadsheets and difficult formulas. You also have the ability to define the number of days or hours that must pass before the leave time becomes available to an employee.

Multiple carry-over options - Easily set policies around leave codes so that there is either no carry-over, a carry-over based on calendar year-end, anniversary date, or another specified date, or the option to carry-over based on a variable schedule (number of years worked, for example).

Track or pay out unused leave - When an employee “loses” leave time due to a carry-over maximum, this lost time can be transferred to another leave code for tracking purposes, to be paid out, or to be used at a later time (if permissible).

Mass update tools - Save time and money by assigning leave codes to large groups of employees and/or creating mass leave transactions for large groups. (See Figure 2)

Enter Leave Transactions - Comprehensive Leave Manager allows for leave adjustments, updating leave time taken, payouts, and leave time transfers to other employees. (See Figure 3)

FMLA Instances - Identify specific pay codes used for FMLA. When these pay codes are used in a payroll transaction, this feature will automatically create an FMLA instance in Human Resources. You can also set up an employee-specific FMLA calendar including days per week, hours per day, and “down” days.

Leave transaction history - Quickly display leave transaction history for any employee from the Employee Leave Transaction window and then easily inspect individual transactions without having to exit that window. (See Figure 4)

Employee self-service portal - Through the HRM Self Service Suite, employees can easily access and view their leave balances and detailed transaction history, as well as submit leave requests for all leave codes.
(See Figure 5)

Track the existing amount of liability for untaken leave time in your Financials - An Excel-based Report is available to track the leave liability that needs to be recorded each month. The report shows each leave code and can be filtered by department.
