Overtime Hours Rules enables users to easily manage overtime rules and configure multiple methods of calculating overtime hours. The user is able to accommodate rules that may vary based on employee, department, position, or rules that are unique to certain states and companies. Overtime is managed on the basis of day, week, pay period, or all three combined. Overtime Hours Rules then saves the user time by automatically calculating overtime during the payroll process, without any additional processing steps.

Features and Benefits

Multiple Overtime Rules - This feature allows the user to create overtime rules, which will be assigned to employees and will control the way overtime transactions are created in payroll. Rules can be set up as daily, weekly, or by pay period.

Adjust Overtime Rules - This feature allows users to adjust overtime rules to an individual employee's needs, which will control how overtime transactions are created in payroll.

Mass Assign Overtime Rules - This feature allows users to assign Overtime Rule Codes to multiple employees at once.

Overtime Hours Rules Setup window activates the Overtime Hours Rules product and specifies the Rule Priority order.


Overtime Rules Setup window is used to create overtime rules.


Employee Overtime Rules Maintenance window is used to adjust overtime rules to suit an individual employee's need.


Rule Code Mass Assign window allows you to assign Overtime Rule Codes to multiple employees at once.

FAQ

Can you have multiple overtime rules assigned to an employee? For example, overtime is anything over 8 hours in a day or over 40 hours in a week.
Yes, you may assign multiple overtime rules to an employee.

If you want to have one of each rule, type apply to all employees do you have to assign each employee the Overtime Rules?
Overtime Hours Rules will allow the user to set a default rule for each rule type. The default rules will be applied to all employees who do not have an overtime rule assigned.
