Payroll Codes for Local and Additional Taxes

In order for tax filing to be accurately paid to each tax jurisdiction, it is important to use specific tax filing codes for additional and local taxes.

Additional taxes are defined as taxes in addition to regular state, federal and local withholding. Examples would include Massachusetts Paid Family Leave, State Disability Withholding for New Jersey, or Employee Workers Compensation fee for New Mexico. For these additional withholding amounts, please consult Integrity Data Client Services to get the correct tax filing code and ensure that this tax filing code is used as the payroll code for the withholding.

Local Taxes are required to be set up through the Local Tax Update window. For instructions on how to create a local tax within this window, see “Create Local Tax.”
