Payroll Now version #
Base App: 28.52.2.24
PN Extension: 28.52.2.34
This version was tested on the Primo Base App 28.52.2.0. This version of Payroll Now is compatible with Primo Payday Base app version 28.52.0.0 and greater, and Business Central version 28.0 in addition to a few new features combined with Integrity Data HR, Polling issues and features. Below is a summary of each.
New Features / Improvements
· New Hire Reporting Phase 1
- The State New Hire Reporting feature in Payroll Now automates the process of notifying state agencies when an employer hires or rehires an employee. Federal law (Personal Responsibility and Work Opportunity Reconciliation Act, PRWORA) requires all employers to report newly hired and rehired employees to a state directory within a defined window after the employee’s first day of States use this data to enforce child support orders and manage unemployment insurance.
· Greater Visibility into Integration Errors
- Polling Staging page — see every polling transaction BC has received from the middleware, with its type (Employee, Position Type, Pay Group Type, ), value (employee number, position code, etc.), status, and any error message
- Reach it from the Payroll Tax Release Setup page (Polling Staging button), or from notifications when there are errors
- Default view shows the last two weeks of activity — clear the Created From date to see older records
- Filters at the top of the page: Errors Only, Type, Value (wildcard search), and Created From
- Errors are highlighted — Fail and Retry show in red, Partial in yellow, Success in green
- Sortable columns — click any column header to sort or filter further
- Ignore checkbox — mark a record as Ignored to visually dim it on the list and stop it from triggering error notifications; uncheck it later to bring it back to attention
- Ignore All button — set Ignore on every record currently visible in the filtered view
- Error Messages drill-down — select a record and click Error Messages to see the detailed error log entries for just that record
- Notifications appear when there are polling records with errors:
- On the Solution Menu and Payroll Activities pages — total count across the company
- On a Payroll Employee Card — count for just that employee
- Each notification has an Open Staging button that takes you straight to the filtered list
· New Federal 2026 amount for Qualifying Children Under 17
- Previously, employees entered the total dollar amount representing all qualifying dependents directly into the HR system (e.g., an employee with 2 children under 17 would enter $4,400). The integration passed this lump-sum value to payroll, which used it as-is for withholding calculations.
- The integration has been updated to reflect a revised data flow:
- Employees now enter the per-dependent election amount multiplied by the number of qualifying dependents under age 17.
- The HR system passes this total election amount to
- Payroll then calculates the actual number of dependents and the total election based on the current IRS credit value.
