SUTA Report

Step 1: Log into Payroll Now and Select “Full Payroll Menu.”  Most will have a link already bookmarked, however; if you do not, you can utilize the search option in the header ribbon to the right. If you already have the payroll menu bookmarked, please proceed to step 2.

If utilizing the search option, you will need to select the spyglass icon in the upper right-hand header ribbon and search for “Payroll Menu” and select “Payroll Menu” under the “Go to Pages and Tasks” label.

Step 2: Once you are in the “Full Payroll Menu” locate column #3 labeled “History” and select “Payroll Ledger Entries.”

Step 3: Once you are on the “Payroll Ledger Entries” screen, please locate “Reports” in the ribbon. This will produce a drop-down menu giving you the option to run various reports.

Step 4:From the above-referenced screen, you will see a list of reports you will need to run to identify your tax liabilities and remit your payments to the appropriate tax jurisdictions. Be sure to filter to the payment date of the payroll you ran. See the example below:

Step 5: Once you have filtered your report to the appropriate payment date, select the file type “Microsoft Excel Document (data and layout)” and select “OK.” You can filter to a specific payment date or filter to the appropriate year and quarter if you are preparing quarterly documents.

Step 6: Using the data from the “SUTA Tax” report, you will need to select your state’s website link in the third column below. From here you will locate the state you are filing for and click on the link. This will take you to your agency website where you can file and/or pay your State Unemployment liabilities.
