Add New Supervisor

Add a New Supervisor

From the Advanced Time and Attendance Home Screen, click the ‘Security’ tab and select ‘Supervisors’ from the dropdown list. Then click on ‘+Add New Supervisor’.

Add the Supervisor’s information. Use the Supervisor’s email address for the login name. The SMS notification is optional.

Supervisors will show on the list below once their accounts have been activated.

Below is an example of the activation email. Click the link to activate the Supervisor’s account.

The password that was included in the email should be entered in the ‘Password sent:’ box via copy and paste. Then create the New password and Password confirmation following the guidelines listed.  When finished with entries, click the ‘Activate’ button.

Now that the Supervisors account has been activated, they will appear on the supervisor list and employees can be assigned to them.

Assign Employees to a New Supervisor

Employees can be assigned to Primary and Secondary Supervisors. A Secondary Supervisor can complete Advanced Time and Attendance maintenance. This is helpful when the Primary Supervisor is out of the office.

From the Advanced Time and Attendance Homepage, click the ‘Security’ tab and select ‘Supervisors’. The Supervisors window will open with a list of all the supervisors.

To assign employees to a supervisor, locate their name in the list and click ‘Assign Employees’  from the Primary or Secondary column.

When the Employee Assignment window opens, click the ‘Filter’ tab. Check the boxes for the employees who will report directly to this supervisor.

Click the ‘View Assigned’ tab to see a list of the employees that have been assigned to this supervisor.

Click the ‘Confirm’ tab to save changes. A window will open asking if you are sure you want to save this change. If you do, click the ‘OK’ button.

You will see a success notification. Click the ‘Ok’ button.

There are two ways to assign an employee to a supervisor. This can also be done through the Employee’s file.

To do this, go to the Advanced Time and Attendance Homepage, Click the ‘Employee’ tab and select ‘Employee Details’.

Find the employee’s name that you want to make changes to from the list. Click ‘Edit’.

The Employee Detail window will open. You will see the Main Supervisor listed. The supervisor can be changed from here also.

Click on the dropdown arrow to see the list of supervisors. Select the new supervisor if you want to make a change.

Click on the ‘Save’ button at the bottom of the page if you have made any changes.

Assign a Default Profile

To assign a default profile to a supervisor navigate to the Advanced Time and Attendance Homepage.

Click the ‘Employees’ tab and select ‘Default Profiles’.

Locate the profile you want to assign to the supervisor and click ‘Edit’.

When the Default Profile window opens, find the Main Supervisor field and click the dropdown arrow. Select the supervisor’s name from the list. Click the ‘Save’ button.

Create a New Default Profile

If there is not a Default Profile created that works for your new supervisor, you will need to create a new one.

From the Advanced Time and Attendance Homepage, click the ‘Employees’ tab and select ‘Default Profiles’.

You will see a list of existing Default Profiles. Find the profile similar to the one you will create and click on ‘Copy’.

The New Default Profile window will open. Fill in the ‘Name’ field. We recommend using the name of the department, not the supervisor’s name.

Find the ‘Main Supervisor’ field and click the dropdown arrow. Select the supervisor’s name from the list. Click the ‘Save’ button.
