You will receive an upload error when the employment dates in a current upload conflict with the
employment history that has been previously uploaded. Please reference our Knowledge Based Article:
KB 14-066 “Date Conflicts with Existing History Record ERROR” for additional information on these
scenarios.

How does the Import know when to Update and when to Insert?

The system will perform an Update on any Employment History Record that has a matching Adj. Hire
Date.

The system will also perform an Update on any Employment History Record has a matching Hire Date
and the Imported Records Adj. Hire Date = ‘1900-01-01’

Any other combination will result in the Attempt to insert a new Employment History Record in
accordance with the Conflict Rules in the section above.
