HR and Payroll for Dynamics GP

How to Find Out Which Integrity Data Features You are Using

There are many Integrity Data solutions integrated within Dynamics GP, so it may be hard to tell which ones you are currently utilizing. This document breaks down how you can tell if you are currently utilizing any of these features.

Deduction in Arrears

How to Find It: Navigate to the Deduction Setup Window by

Microsoft Dynamics GP > Tools > Setup > Payroll > Deduction

You should see a series of three check boxes in the middle of the window labeled ‘Allow Arrears’, ‘Mandatory Deductions’, and ‘Collect When Possible’.

How to Know: Use this window to look at your Deduction Codes. If any of your Deduction Codes have any of these three check boxes checked, then you are utilizing this solution.

Overtime Rate Manager

How to Find It: If you have access to the Calculation Method Setup Window, then you have access to this Integrity Data solution. You can find this window by

Microsoft Dynamics GP > Tools > Setup > Payroll > Overtime Methods

How to Know: You are utilizing this feature if all the following are true.

  • You have access to this feature
  • You are using Microsoft GP to run Payroll
  • You run a weekly or bi-weekly pay period
  • The Automatic Overtime Box found within the Payroll Setup Window is unchecked. Microsoft Dynamics GP > Tools > Setup > Payroll > Payroll

  • You have at least one Calculation Method Code created.

Payroll Integration to Payables

How to Find It: If you have access to the Payroll Vendor Setup Window, then you have access to this solution. You can find this window by

Microsoft Dynamics GP > Tools > Setup > Payroll > Payables Integration > Vendors

How to Know: To see if you are utilizing this solution, use the arrows found in the bottom left of the window to see if you have any Transaction Types set up with Vendors. If you do, then you are utilizing the solution.

Pre-Posting Reports

How to Find It: To see if you have access to this solution, open the Posting Setup Window, set the Series to Payroll and the Origin to all.

Microsoft Dynamics GP > Tools > Setup > Posting > Posting

How to Know: Here you can see all the Payroll Reports available to you along with their default printing options. If you see reports ending in PPR, then you have access to the solution.

If the Print check box on the left of the window is checked for any of the reports ending in PPR, then you are utilizing the solution.
