How to restore missing additional paystub attachments in Integrity Data E-Mail Suite for GP

Overview

After a Microsoft Dynamics GP upgrade, Integrity Data E-Mail Suite (EES) may stop attaching supplemental documents to paystub emails—even when the files exist in the expected folder. This article explains how to restore the missing option in EES Setup and ensure EES can locate the attachment folder and run required database updates.

Symptoms

  • Additional documents (PDFs, etc.) are not emailed with paystubs, even though the files exist in the EES attachment folder.

  • The option to enable or configure “Include additional attachments” is missing from the EES Setup window.

  • Logging into GP as the sa user does not prompt EES to run any database updates.

  • No obvious error is displayed; EES appears to email paystubs successfully but skips the extra attachments.

Cause

A GP upgrade can remove the Windows registry key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Wow6432Node\IntegrityEmailSuite\GP2018\Path. Without this key, EES cannot locate the EES folder at runtime and may silently skip additional attachments. In some cases, EES database objects are also out of date (visible as a version mismatch in APR_CompanyVersions for PRODID 5974), and EES features such as attachment options may not appear until the database update is applied.

Resolution

  • 1. Download and reinstall EES using an Administrator account on the GP workstation/server where EES is installed.
Use the Integrity Data download site and install the current EES build that matches your Microsoft Dynamics GP version (confirm the correct build with Support if unsure). Run the installer as Administrator.

  • 2. Launch Microsoft Dynamics GP and sign in as sa.
When prompted, allow the EES database update to run and apply it to all companies that use EES. If you are not prompted, continue to the next step and verify the installation/registry.

  • 3. Verify the EES registry Path key exists.
Open Registry Editor and confirm the following key/value exists:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Wow6432Node\IntegrityEmailSuite\GP2018\Path
This value should point to the EES installation/data location used by your GP environment. If the reinstall completed successfully, this key is typically recreated automatically.

  • 4. Confirm the additional attachment file location and test.
Place a test PDF in the EES folder used by your environment (commonly under the GP installation/data folder) and run a test paystub email process. Confirm the email includes the additional document attachment.

  • 5. Re-check the EES Setup window.
After reinstalling and completing the database update, reopen EES Setup and confirm the “Include additional attachments” option is available and configured as needed.

Additional Information

  • If you use multiple GP companies, ensure the EES database update is applied to each applicable company (the update prompt when logging in as sa is the most common method).

  • Windows Registry access requires administrative rights. Make a backup before editing keys manually.
