This article will explain how an Employee can submit and approve a W4 through the HR system. You will also learn how the Admin can approve the submitted W4 to update the Employee Tax Information.
From the HR Dashboard, the employee clicks the ‘My HR’ tab.
From the ‘My Payroll’ dropdown menu, they will select ‘My W-4’.
Next, they will Click the ‘+ New W-4 for Approval’ button’.
A W-4 form will open for them to fill out and sign their e-signature at the bottom. When they are done, they will click the ‘Save and Submit’ button.
ADMIN – Click ‘HR Admin’ tab and select ‘W-4’ under the ‘Employee Maintenance’ drop down menu. Enter the employee’s name in the Employee Search window to lock into their record. A list of that employee’s W-4s will appear.
Select the pending w-4 from the list.
ADMIN will review the document and can accept or reject the application. Once the application is approved, changes will show in the Employee’s Tax Information page in GP.
