How to Verify and Apply Necessary 2025 Year End Updates in Business Central for Payroll Now

Most organizations rely on their Business Central (BC) implementation partner to monitor system health and manage version updates. These updates are typically applied on a predetermined schedule or shortly after Microsoft releases a new version.

However, if you have the appropriate administrative access, you can independently verify whether updates are available and ready to install at any time. This article outlines the steps for reviewing available updates and understanding update dependencies within Payroll Now by Integrity Data.

Important Reminder: Always process updates in your sandbox first to avoid potential issues before moving to production.

How to Check for Available Business Central Updates

1. Access the Admin Center:

· In the Payroll Now screen, locate the Gear Icon in the upper-right corner.

· Select Admin Center from the menu.

· Navigate to Environments, then choose Production. Only update Production after successfully applying and testing the update in your Sandbox environment.

2. Review Scheduled Update Settings:

· Scroll down to locate the Update Settings section. This area shows the scheduled date for the next Microsoft-only release.

3. Open the Apps List:

· At the top-left of the Environment screen, click Apps.

· Locate the extensions published by your solution provider—Primo Pay Day and Payroll Now by Integrity Data.

4. Review Version Information:

· Installed Versions: The version currently running.

· Latest Available Versions: The newest version available.

· Available Update Action: Indicates whether an update can be applied.

· Available Uninstall Action: Indicates whether the extension can be uninstalled.

Important Update Order Requirements:

If updates are available for multiple Integrity Data extensions, install them in this order:

1. Primo Pay Day

2. Payroll Now by Integrity Data Base

3. Payroll Now by Integrity Data

If the Payroll Now by Integrity Data Base update is not available, proceed directly to the Payroll Now by Integrity Data update.

Access Requirements:

Only users with Admin Access can perform these steps. Coordinate with your Business Central partner to ensure proper testing and deployment.
