Last week, our team had the privilege of attending the highly anticipated Dynamics Community Summit 2024 in San Antonio. This event gathered industry leaders, innovators, and professionals from various fields to share insights, network, and explore the latest trends and technologies being rolled out by Microsoft. GP Payroll and HR Panel
Our very own Jill Lister co-presented a session with Terry Heley and Deb Sletmoen titled Unlocking Hidden Gems in GP Payroll and HR, focusing on HR and payroll. They had meaningful conversations with customers and partners regarding the end of support for GP in 2029. The panel aimed to alleviate concerns and advise against hasty decisions. This was a prominent topic among both customers and partners.
Team Bonding
Beyond the formal sessions and exhibits, Summit provided ample opportunities for team bonding. From after-hours events to Sketch-Bot drawings that humorously resembled Mr. Potato Head, these moments of shared laughter strengthened our team dynamics. Community Summit consistently offers fun and memorable experiences each year, and this year was no exception.
Key Takeaways
As always, Dynamics Community Summit NA was a showcase of cutting-edge technologies and innovative solutions. The announcement about the sunsetting of Dynamics GP just weeks before Summit caused some uncertainty about what the atmosphere of the event would be like. We found that although there were some partners and customers who have determined to continue in GP, many have turned their attention to Business Central. There was a lot of interest in our upcoming webinar for customers, “Make the Move to BC Payroll from GP Payroll with Integrity Data HRP“. Migrating from GP to Business Central was a major theme of our conversations. We were able to reassure partners and customers that we have paved the way with our process for moving people to our payroll solution which is native to Business Central. We will also continue to maintain our GP modules for those who are choosing to stay in GP for a while.
Looking Ahead
As we reflect on Summit, it’s clear that the event was a success for our team. They returned with new knowledge, strengthened relationships, and a renewed sense of purpose. The insights gained from Summit 2024 will undoubtedly influence our strategies and projects moving forward.
