Overview

This article explains how to handle Form I-9 Supplement B (Reverification and Rehire) in the I-9 compliance module for Full Lifecycle for BC – PEPM. You will upload the completed Supplement B and link it to the employee’s existing I-9 record.

Symptoms

  • Unable to find a separate I-9 Supplement B tab or section alongside Section 1 and Section 2 in the I-9 screen.
  • Unclear where to complete or store reverification (Supplement B) within the I-9 compliance module.
  • No error messages, but difficulty locating a workflow for I-9 reverification.

Cause

The I-9 compliance module does not provide a separate in-form tab or screen for Supplement B within the existing I-9 record. Instead, reverification is managed by uploading the completed Supplement B as a document and then linking it to the employee’s I-9 using the Documents area and the I-9 record’s I-9 Documents section.

Resolution

  1. Download the current USCIS Form I-9 and Supplement B (Reverification and Rehire) from the USCIS website (for example, from https://www.uscis.gov/i-9).
  2. Complete Supplement B outside of the system, following your organization’s I-9 compliance procedures.
  3. In Full Lifecycle for BC – PEPM, navigate to HR Admin > Employee Maintenance.
  4. Open the relevant employee record and go to the Documents area for that employee.
  5. Select Add Documents, choose the employee if prompted, and upload the completed Supplement B PDF.
  6. Save the document so it is stored with the employee’s other HR documents (such as completed W-4 and I-9 PDFs).
  7. Next, navigate to HR Admin > I-9.
  8. Open the employee’s existing I-9 record that requires reverification.
  9. In the I-9 Documents section, locate the Document dropdown list.
  10. Select the uploaded Supplement B document from the dropdown.
  11. Click Link I-9 document (or the equivalent link action) to associate the Supplement B document with the I-9 record.
  12. Confirm that the Supplement B document now appears in the I-9’s linked documents list for audit and compliance purposes.
