Even the ordinary flu can bring your workplace to a standstill so it’s no wonder the current COVID-19 pandemic has everyone rattled. 1. Remote work has been encouraged, and in many cases, required. Many organizations are already set up to do this, but some companies are scrambling to enable their workforce to work from home. With today’s technology, all you really need is a laptop and a good internet connection to do the basics. Other useful tools are remote meeting software such as Zoom and Teams, as well as document collaboration tools such as Google Docs or SharePoint. New to working from home? 2. Obviously not all jobs can be done remotely and that can have tragic consequences for the employees impacted. Luckily, many employers are coming up with emergency measures to protect their employees from financial hardships.
